Sarrigeorgiou succeeds Sandro Panizza, who left the position in October 2022. Brandstetter continued: “I would like to thank Sandro for his significant dedication to and support of our industry during his time as Insurance Europe’s vice-president.”
Commenting on his appointment, Sarrigeorgiou said: “I am honoured to have been elected Insurance Europe’s vice president. Our world faces many challenges, and insurers are well placed to support our societies and economies via their roles as protectors and long-term investors. I therefore look forward to working with my colleagues to represent our industry in the legislative discussions that will shape our ability to continue making these important contributions.”
