Frédéric de Courtois
Mr. Frédéric de Courtois is AXA Group Deputy CEO and a member of the Group Management Committee. In this capacity, he is in charge of Group Finance, Operations, Strategy, Risk and Underwriting.
Prior to being named Group Deputy CEO in August 2021, Mr. Frédéric de Courtois worked at Generali for five years, where he held a number of senior positions, including General Manager of the Group overseeing most central functions and the implementation of strategy. Before that, he held a variety of positions in AXA in finance and in the business for 23 years. He was Deputy CEO of AXA Re and AXA Corporate Solutions (200 2003), Chief Financial Officer then Deputy CEO of AXA Japan (2003 2007), and CEO of AXA Italy, Greece and Serbia (2007 2016). Mr. Frédéric de Courtois began his career in 1990 at CGI before joining UAP as an M&A expert in 1993.
Mr. Frédéric de Courtois graduated from Telecom ParisTech in 1990 and Collège des Ingénieurs in 1991. He is an actuary.

Alexander Sarrigeorgiou
Alexander Sarrigeorgiou is chairman of the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies and chairman and CEO of the Eurolife FFH Insurance Group. He previously held senior executive positions in the insurance and asset management industries in Greece and the USA.
His many board positions include membership of the board of the Hellenic Institute for Insurance Studies and the executive board for EMEA of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA, as well as chairmanship of the Hellenic Advisory Board of South East European Studies (SEESOX) at the University of Oxford, UK.
Sarrigeorgiou holds an MBA in finance from the Wharton School and an MSc and a BSc in civil engineering from Columbia University, USA.

Thea Utoft Høj Jensen is director general of Insurance Europe, the European insurance and reinsurance federation. Previously, she served as senior managing director and head of financial services in Brussels at FTI Consulting, where she provided strategic advice on financial services policy. Thea held the position of financial services counsellor for the Danish Permanent Representation to the European Union, where she led Council negotiations at attaché-level for Denmark at the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) and represented Denmark's interests on key financial services issues.

Olav Jones
Olav Jones is the Deputy Director General & Director Economics and Finance at Insurance Europe, the federation which represents the European insurance industry. He is based in Brussels and responsible for all issues relating to Prudential Regulation, Financial Reporting, Investments and International Affairs. He is also a member of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA)’s Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group (OPSG) and is currently chair of EIOPA's IRSG. After studying Engineering and then Finance, he started his career as a consultant to the financial services industry with Oliver, Wyman and Company.

Nicolas Jeanmart
As head of Insurance Europe’s personal and general insurance department, Nicolas Jeanmart contributes to the global and European debates affecting the non-life and life insurance sectors. He is also involved in the discussions on financial stability, with a particular focus on the question of systemic risk in insurance. Prior to joining Insurance Europe in November 2010, Nicolas worked for the European Savings Banks Group (ESBG), where he held various positions, culminating in four years as head of the banking supervision and economic affairs department.

Conduct of business
William Vidonja
As head of the conduct of business department, William Vidonja contributes to the global and European debates on legal and consumer protection issues, including insurance distribution, data protection, differentiation, contract law, competition issues and financial education. William is also part of the employers’ delegation of the Insurance Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee (ISSDC), the only forum at European level in which insurance employer and employee representatives discuss topics of common interest with the support of the European Commission. He joined Insurance Europe as a trainee in 2002. After his traineeship he was hired as deputy manager of the insurance of the person department before moving to the conduct of business department. William is a French national and holds a law degree from the University of Paris XII.

Koen Ameye
Koen Ameye is the head of support services, managing human resources, finance and IT since he joined Insurance Europe in 2007. Prior to joining Insurance Europe, Koen worked for several years as a human resources manager for a large Belgian healthcare organisation and for the human capital management team at Deloitte & Touche. Koen holds a master’s degree in industrial and organisational psychology from the University of Ghent, a postgraduate qualification in business management from the University of Brussels and a degree from the University of Brussels in social security law.
