Frédéric de Courtois
Frédéric de Courtois is AXA Group Deputy CEO and a member of the Group Management Committee. In this capacity, he is in charge of Group Finance, Operations, Strategy, Risk and Underwriting.
Prior to being named Group Deputy CEO in August 2021, Frédéric worked at Generali for five years, where he held a number of senior positions, including General Manager of the Group overseeing most central functions and the implementation of strategy. Before that, he held a variety of positions in AXA in finance and in the business for 23 years. He was Deputy CEO of AXA Re and AXA Corporate Solutions (2000-2003), Chief Financial Officer then Deputy CEO of AXA Japan (2003-2007), and CEO of AXA Italy, Greece and Serbia (2007-2016). Frédéric began his career in 1990 at CGI before joining UAP as an M&A expert in 1993.
He graduated from Telecom ParisTech in 1990 and Collège des Ingénieurs in 1991. He is an actuary.

Alexander Sarrigeorgiou
Alexander Sarrigeorgiou is chairman of the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies and chairman and CEO of the Eurolife FFH Insurance Group. He previously held senior executive positions in the insurance and asset management industries in Greece and the USA.
His many board positions have included membership of the board of the Hellenic Institute for Insurance Studies and the executive board for EMEA of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA, as well as chairmanship of the Hellenic Advisory Board of South East European Studies (SEESOX) at the University of Oxford, UK.
Alexander holds an MBA in finance from the Wharton School and an MSc and a BSc in civil engineering from Columbia University, USA.

Thea Utoft Høj Jensen is director general of Insurance Europe, the European insurance and reinsurance federation. Previously, she served as senior managing director and head of financial services in Brussels at FTI Consulting, where she provided strategic advice on financial services policy. Thea held the position of financial services counsellor for the Danish Permanent Representation to the European Union, where she led Council negotiations at attaché-level for Denmark at the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) and represented Denmark's interests on key financial services issues.

Olav Jones
Olav Jones is the deputy director general and director of economics and finance at Insurance Europe. He is responsible for all issues relating to prudential regulation, corporate reporting, investments, sustainable finance and international affairs. He currently chairs the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) Insurance and Reinsurance Stakeholder Group (IRSG) and was also a member of the EIOPA Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group (OPSG). He is British/Norwegian, and after studying for a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's in finance, he started his career as a consultant to the financial services industry with Oliver, Wyman and Company.
Angus Scorgie
Angus Scorgie is the head of prudential regulation and international affairs at Insurance Europe. He is responsible for advocacy on a range of topics including Solvency II, recovery and resolution, stress testing, the International Capital Standard and systemic risk.
Prior to joining Insurance Europe in 2016, Angus worked as an investment consultant for a range of institutional clients, advising on risk management and investment strategies. He is a qualified actuary and holds the CERA credential and a MSci Mathematics from the University of Glasgow.

Nicolas Jeanmart
As head of Insurance Europe’s personal and general insurance department, Nicolas Jeanmart contributes to the global and European debates on non-life and life insurance. In recent years, the question of how to reduce insurance protection gaps, notably in the areas of natural catastrophes, pensions, cyber and health, has kept him especially busy; he actively contributed to the protection gaps report of the Global Federation of Insurance Associations (GFIA) and was co-rapporteur of the European Commission’s Climate Resilience Dialogue.

William Vidonja
As head of the conduct of business department at Insurance Europe, William Vidonja contributes to the global and European debates on key legal and consumer protection issues, including insurance distribution, data protection, digitalisation, differentiation, contract law, competition issues and financial education. William is a member of various EU expert groups and part of the employers’ delegation of the Insurance Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee (ISSDC), the only forum at European level in which insurance employer and employee representatives discuss topics of common interest with the support of the European Commission.

Fabienne Zwagemakers
Fabienne Zwagemakers is the head of public affairs & communications at Insurance Europe, leading a team responsible for public affairs, events, and communications strategies. She joined the federation in March 2020, focusing on public affairs strategies related to life and non-life insurance issues, including climate change, liability, motor insurance, fraud, cybersecurity, and emerging risks. Prior to this, she worked at Acumen Public Affairs (2015-2020) and completed a European Commission blue book traineeship in the radio spectrum unit. Fabienne holds a PhD in Political Theory from LUISS University in Rome.

Koen Ameye
Koen Ameye is the head of human resources and support services, which includes finance and IT. He joined Insurance Europe in 2007. Previously, Koen worked for several years as a human resources manager for a large Belgian healthcare organisation and for the human capital management team at Deloitte & Touche.
Koen holds a master’s degree in industrial and organisational psychology from the University of Ghent, a postgraduate qualification in business management from the University of Brussels and a degree from the University of Brussels in social security law.
