Today, Insurance Europe — together with the European Banking Federation and ClimateWise — organised a joint official COP26 side event entitled: Banks' & insurers' role in supporting the sustainability transition: investment, lending, underwriting.
Insurers and banks play an important role in the transition to sustainability and in helping Europe reach its goals. Innovation in investment, underwriting products, lending and saving are necessary to grow sustainable activities and drive a rapid transition. The event explored practical actions and tools used by insurers and banks, including engagement, education, product innovation, and research.
